I've been struggling to beat a nasty head cold lately and just as I started feeling human again a migraine hit. But life goes on and I had places to be and things to do and this face made me feel so much better... ah the power of makeup.
My easy, no think primer - Garnier Perfect Blur Smoothing Base Perfector, followed by Revlon Colorstay Whipped and set with Revlon Colorstay Translucent Powder dusted over my T-zone. My fav concealer - NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer set with my new love, the By Terry Hyaluronic Hydra Powder which is AH -MAZING at setting anything I put under my eyes or on any wrinkly area for that matter without creasing or caking. It makes it all look like skin again. Just love this stuff.
Onto the eye area. Brows first with the new Maybelline Brow Precise in Dark Brown which I think may be the Master Drama they recently discontinued simply repackaged, and then a swipe of Maybelline Brow Drama to try to tame my droopy brow hairs. Next goes on the NARS Smudge Proof Eyeshadow Base and then Burberry Pale Barley eyeshadow and this is where I start to feel a little glam again. The colour is just gorgeous and really makes me feel a whole lot more polished. I added a little Cocoa Puff to the lash line and Velvet Revolver to the crease (both from the Too Faced Natural Eyes palette), lined my upper waterline with Urban Decay 24/7 Glide On Eye Pencil in Corrupt then finished the look with a coat of Benefit They're Real Mascara.
Life back in the cheeks with a little Avon Smooth Minerals blush in 02 Blushed Rose and a smidge of Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Bronzer under my cheek bones, jaw line and temples then a decent slick of MAC Patisserie lipstick. I love how transformative makeup can be because now I don't look at all like I've just spent the past few days hiding from the sun and shushing everyone who comes near me. I'm ready. Bring it world.
