Empties #8

Nice quiet month in empties for March. I concentrated on finishing the many mostly empty deodorant cans I had taking up room in my bathroom cabinet and crossed a couple of things off my 'Use It Or Lose It' list.

Untitled
Face:
* Sunday Riley Bionic Anti-Aging Cream – I got this sample in Mecca Beauty Loop box and it was OK. It has a scent that reminds me of shea butter, probably due to all the 'extracts' it contains, but as I already use retinol in my skincare this is just meh for me and certainly not worth the ridiculous price tag of $199 for the full size 30ml bottle. Will not be splurging on this one.
* Garnier Clean Sensitive 2 in 1 Gentle Make-Up Remover – I tend to go through one of these every 3 months, still love it, still have my fingers crossed that Garnier doesn't discontinue this like they have virtually every other product I've loved in their line.
* Alpha-H Age Delay Cleansing Oil – Unable to get my hands on the Emma Hardy Moringa Cleansing Balm a couple of years ago, I bought this instead to see how I liked using a balm-like cleanser to remove my makeup. I've since bought the EH Cleansing Balm and while this doesn't hold a candle to that, it was still an effective cleanser that worked beautifully as a first cleanse to remove stubborn waterproof makeup. Not sure if I would repurchase it now that I've been spoiled by the Emma Hardy though...
* LancĂ´me Visionnaire Advanced Skin Corrector – I saw great things happen to my skin tone and texture when using the original formulation of Visionnaire (I raved about the original here) but this 'improved' formula is nowhere near as effective. They may have increased the concentration of the active ingredient but it is useless without a way to get it into my skin which was what the alcohol was there for and which they removed when they 'reformulated' it. This version really didn't do much for me so I won't be repurchasing this again.
* Rimmel Exaggerate Waterproof Eye Definer in 221 Sable – this is finally gone. The pigmentation on this was crap and I struggled to use it up as I had to swipe so many times to get it to show up. Don't even think you can buy this anymore but I wouldn't repurchase even if I could.

Hair and Body:
* Nivea Body Lotion Firming – my skin has been getting noticeably drier since I stopped waxing and started shaving so I now use this light lotion. It's very lightly scented and while it doesn't firm anything (as I fully expected it not to) it does exactly what I wanted it to do, ie, moisturise my skin quickly without leaving a residue so I can dress immediately after, so I have repurchased it.
* Nivea Pearl Beauty Anti-Perspirant with Pearl Extract – Very pretty light sweet floral scent so I'm happy to buy this again too.
* Nivea Double Effect Anti-Perspirant with Avocado Extract – not a fan of the scent, kinda plant smelling though it did grow on me over time, might repurchase though I probably won't.
* Nivea Silk Touch Anti-Perspirant with Ultra-light Kaolin Powder - more of a powdery scent that I wasn't a huge fan of - won't repurchase this one.
* Batiste Cool Fresh Dry Shampoo – it wouldn't be an empties without some dry shampoo and this is one of many scents I keep repurchasing.
* muk Hot Muk Thermal Protector – I quite liked this when I first started using it, especially as it doesn't contain alcohol which tends to fry my hair, but it weighs my hair down a fair bit so while I've got one more bottle to get through I'm on the hunt for another heat protectant. Will not repurchase.

And 12 products brings my total to 58 for this year.
