These are the items that are getting some serious loving at the moment...
* Philosophy Full of Promise – this is supposed to be a dual-action restoring cream for volume and lift. Well I don’t know about lifting but it does make my skin feel plump and so soft by morning when I use it as a night cream. I love how rich this cream is without being greasy.
* Hourglass Mineral Veil Primer – I’m yet to find a foundation that doesn’t disappear from my chin and around my nose. Enter Hourglass MVP. It doesn’t live up to all its claims of minimising pores and fine lines but it does dramatically extend the wear time of my foundation. The key is to pat it in place, not rub or swipe it on. I don’t use it every time I wear makeup and I only use where I need it so this little bottle lasts almost a year.
* NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer in Custard– since discovering this I haven’t worn any other concealer and I have to say the hype surrounding this product is well deserved. I mainly need concealer for my dark under eye circles and this is richly pigmented so you only need a thin layer for fantastic coverage. It goes on creamy but sets with a slightly luminous finish without caking (I sometimes mattify with a light dusting of translucent powder to take the glow down) and most importantly it DOES. NOT. BUDGE. Every other concealer I’ve used gathers into the creases under my eyes regardless whether I set it or not but this beauty stays exactly where I put it without any help from a setting powder and doesn’t fade all day.
* Laura Mercier Caviar Stick in Amethyst – every time I use this I wonder why I don’t use it more often. The texture is gorgeous to work with, it glides on and blends out effortlessly, and the soft smokey mauve colour perfectly complements my brown eyes.
* Revelery Kohl Eyeliner in Onyx – I’ve had this eyeliner since my uni days and considering that’s 20 years ago it’s amazing how this is still so creamy and dark. It’s perfect for smudging into my lashline to smoke out my eye looks or even just to make my lashes look thicker and fuller. And its neverending.
