20141007-001

School is back for the kids and since I have less than 6 weeks to go until bubs is born, I’m in slowdown mode so my makeup is simple looking and designed to make me look not so haggard from the constant lack of sleep I’ve been experiencing... and yes it took 19 products to make me look human today. I’m going for a healthy natural glow with more emphasis on the healthy and natural than the glow. Coz sometimes you just gotta fake it.

I’m still working my way through the Garnier Perfect Blur Smoothing Base Perfector which really doesn’t do anything for my pores or skin tone but keeps most of my makeup in place until the mid afternoon. A little Garnier Roll On Anti-Dark Circles which gives me a little coverage – concealer will take care of the rest. Then onto my base which today is a mix of Shiseido Sun Protection Liquid Foundation in SP50 and Lancome Teint Visionnaire in 30 Beige, then the never ending battle against my dark circles with Mac Studio Finish Concealer which I custom mix NC30 and NW20 to get my perfect shade, all set with a very light dusting of Mac Mineralize Skinfinish Natural in Medium.

I’ve primed my eyes with Urban Decay Primer Potion and lightly dusted over Brulee by Wet n Wild then onto my brows. I’m trying to use up both the Maybelline Mastershape Brow Pencil in Deep Brown which has a waxy texture but not much colour payoff, and the Rimmel Eyebrow Pencil in 004 Black Brown, as they’re both too soft and not my favourites but using them together sparingly they work for now.

Then back to the eyes. Nars Ashes to Ashes patted over the lid with Mac Wedge in the crease and a random Essence dark brown shade that came in a quad I dismantled as liner pushed into my lashes. Finished off with Essence Long Lasting Eye Pencil in 02 Hot Chocolate on my upper waterline and a coat of Lancome Star Hypnose mascara on my upper lashes.

To give me a bit of life I’ve lightly contoured and bronzed with Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Bronzer then added a splash of Nars Deep Throat blush on the high points of my cheeks to give my face some colour and glow. A quick slick of Mac Syrup on my lips and I now look healthy and rested again even if I still really feel like I want to sneak in a nana nap before lunch.
